I use Firefox. It is awesome, it kicks ass. I will never go back to IE.
It can be a resource hog. A big one. For a while, it's been requiring more and more power to run fewer tabs. I was beginning to fear that I would have to go back to IE.
I tried Safari. I tried Google Chrome. Both used more processing power.
So. Why was my Firefox becoming such a greedy browser? Was it just amassing into a resource monster the likes of which the world has never seen? No.
FLASH. SO MUCH FLASH.
I don't think about it. The ads, the small things, the big things that happen in the background. It's all flash or java(script). All the stuff my eyes slide over.
Solution: Flashblock (Add-on for Firefox) Blocks all flash, but also allows for the easy play of flash.
